Release day is here — and what a unique one it is!
Each book’s release day is always different from the others, and books that have had a Kickstarter are especially different from the ones which haven’t because those books kind of have three release days in a way. There’s the day the Kickstarter launches, then there is the day the Kickstarter is fulfilled, and then there is the day of the retail release.
These two books had a Kickstarter, so they are going through that cycle, but even more they have alternate covers. So although I am kind of “only” releasing two books today, in some ways I am releasing four of them. And for the third time LOL
It’s so weird. And it’s kind of done my head in, I won’t lie. Next time I do an alt cover it will be Kickstarter exclusive or for a limited time — not counting future books in this series, of course. I’m not going to leave you stuck with half a series in one cover and half in another.
Which brings us to the series in question!
These are books 1.5 and 2 in the Gods & Giants series.
Book 1.5 is actually a short story. It takes place a couple weeks after the events of One in the Hand, right before Christmas. One of Autumn’s dogs is accidentally(?) abducted by an antlered woman who just appears in the park one night, and Autumn needs to get him back. Unfortunately, that will require dealing with her least favourite frost giant, Ms. DeBall.
Book 2 happens several more weeks after “Two Loyal Dogs (And a Hornhead in an Apple Tree)”. It’s a new year — 2020! — and Autumn is trying to navigate her emotions and a bunch of life changes at the same time. Then she needs to make a huge sacrifice in order to save a friend, fulfill a quest given to her by a dwarf and figure out how a human kid can see her wings. It’s a journey of self-discovery that also reveals more secrets about the world and her family.
If you click or tap on any of the covers above it will take you to a page where you can learn more about the book, including where to get a copy of your own. Or, you can visit the Gods & Giants series page
