Each year I write and share a list of my work from the previous year that is award eligible. It\u2019s an interesting exercise in pride and also humility. It always feels odd to say, \u201cHere are the things I created last year \u2014 do you think they are exceptional? Worthy of award nomination?\u201d It\u2019s awkward and just on the edge of feeling boastful, which is absolutely not what I\u2019m about. And I always, always, always have to resist the urge to be self-effacing or add a bunch of explanations.<\/p>\n
At the exact same time when I create these blog posts, listing some of the things I accomplished in the year that just past, I\u2019m also really proud.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s that exact same feeling this year, of course. This year is a bit different in that most of the things I wrote and loved the most were \u2018published\u2019 exclusively on Patreon, which means they are not actually eligible for awards but the following things\u00a0are<\/em> eligible:<\/p>\n Poems: Short Stories: Novel:<\/strong> Anthology \/ Related Work:<\/strong> In addition to this anthology being eligible for awards in its own right, I am also eligible in \u2018short form editor\u2019 categories for the work I did on the stories it contains.<\/p>\n If you are nominating for any awards and would like to read and consider any of my eligible works, get in touch and we\u2019ll make it happen.<\/p>\n Thank you!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Each year I write and share a list of my work from the previous year that is award eligible.
