Over the course of this month I want to take a moment to shine a spotlight on some of the creators who have signed up for this year’s Giftmas Create-A-Thon. I think it’s really easy to get caught up in the numbers of, like, how many donations, and how much money is raised — and obviously that is important. But it’s also really important to celebrate the people who have signed up to participate in this fundraiser in an attempt to leave the world better than they found it.<\/p>\n

<\/strong>I\u2019ve donated to\u00a0Giftmas<\/span>\u00a0in the past, but never felt like I was in a position to participate more than that. This year, the goal side was something I knew I could do, so I jumped on the chance to take part.<\/p>\n
My least favourite part of writing is editing. That means I\u2019ve got a bunch of stuff I\u2019ve been sitting on. The two biggest being the first book in a new series, and a 3-Day Novel I want to prep to release to my Patreon. So, my goal is to tackle the \u201cfinish the thing\u201d part of the process that I stumble over so often.<\/p>\n
<\/strong>I love the leaves changing colour. I do not like raking them once they\u2019ve fallen.<\/p>\n
When I was a kid, I read through every book by John Bellairs I could find. I remember reading one of them and hitting a point that absolutely terrified me. Nothing I’ve watched or read since has caused that extreme a reaction, including re-reading all the John Bellairs books trying to find which one it was, since I couldn’t remember.\u00a0I know it was the Johnny Dixon series, but it whichever it was wasn’t as scary the second time around, apparently.<\/p>\n
