Y is for Yellow

YThis year I’m participating in the Blogging from A to Z Challenge again. I thought it might be fun to share some of my photography instead of always my words. They say a picture is worth–well, you know what they say 😉

I will try to keep these blog posts short and sweet, while still offering a little bit of insight into each photograph, just for fun.

Y is for Yellow

I’m pretty sure this shot was just taken in my yard and then processed using Camerabag (as pretty much all my shots are nowadays):

This little guy was also in my yard 🙂

I took this shot when I went back to Southern Alberta for Thanksgiving a couple years back:

And I really like this shot of lichen I took in Nova Scotia. I think it’s the depth of focus that makes it…

I love that shot of the bird in the gorgeous leaves. Seriously LOVE. Do you sell prints?

    • Rhonda says:

      Thank you!

I don’t sell prints, but I could probably manage something for you… even if it’s just shooting you a high res version of the photo (If I have one, I’d have to check. I suspect I cropped the hell out of something to get that image LOL)

  3. Yellow really does add to a photo. It catches the eye–especially when it’s surrounded by darker colors. Love these pictures!

Yellow is such a bright cheery color. The yellow bird sitting amongst the yellow leaves, is yellow squared.

  5. Beautiful photos, especially the one with the little bird. I’m your newest A-Z follower, and it’s sad that I’ve only found your blog today when we are close to the end. Better late than never – glad to follow.

  6. Ooh! Very pretty. Bright colors for bright thoughts and an optimistic outlook on the day. You know what else is yellow? Cheese. Or at least some kinds. =)

LoL yay cheese! (No, really. I see what you did there :-p)

Thank you for coming by nearly every day of this challenge. I’ve enjoyed getting to know you on your blog as well 🙂

What a cute little birdie! I love your photos, you have a great eye and talent.

    • Rhonda says:

Thank you very much 🙂 Sometimes I think I’m just really good at cropping things LoL but this month I’ve begun to believe perhaps it’s a bit more than that 🙂

  8. I love, love, love, love LOVE the picture of the bird. It’s such a lovely shot of this soft little creature, set against such vibrant, brilliant color. It’s completely gorgeous.

  9. Rhonda, first a thank for you stopping by my site for A-to-Z and the nice compliment (I answered your question there).

Love your photos throughout the A-to-Z! Great work. And the lichen is awesome. Lichen is so photogenic, and I’m being serious. On a rock, in rain, in desert heat, wherever it grows, it always catches my eyes!

    • Rhonda says:

      Thank you 🙂

I really like that lichen, though in retrospect I’m not sure lichen always catches my eye… but that’s not the only shot I have of it, so perhaps it does, but it’s so sneaky I hadn’t really noticed before. Now I’ll be paying attention 😉

Your blog has been my visual “happy place” through the whole A to Z. I really have to get to Nova Scotia. Every pic you share from there is magical.

    • Rhonda says:

That is the nicest thing I’ve read all day 🙂 Thank you Leslie!

Nova Scotia was really lovely. I’d like to go back, someday.

What gorgeous photos of yellow subjects! Love that first one, especially! 🙂

  12. Very lovely. The little bird is adorable, and he looks like he’s in a vortex of yellow leaves. 🙂

  13. My daughter’s favorite color is yellow. I read once that children that are in a yellow painted room will cry more. Not sure if it’s true or not.
