Steve Redwood, author of Fisher of Devils and a whole bunch of stories, once called one of my short stories &quot;careless&quot; and &quot;annoying.&quot;  (I thought it was the best story I&#039;d written at the time.)  I still go back and read that review from time to time.</description>
