One of the best ways to connect with me is to sign up for my newsletter — I promise to respect your privacy (I will never sell, rent or giveaway your email address) and your inbox.

Mostly I only send an email when I have big news to share but I will also occasionally drop you a line when I’ve got a story to share, or am looking for feedback.

For Mrs. Clause, would you except ‘mature’ stories? By this, I mean slightly erotic, sort of silly, story poem about Mrs. Clause.

    • Rhonda says:

Possibly? It’s difficult to speak in generalities. Really, I’d just say send it to me and let’s see 🙂

Mrs Claus. I just saw your submission, and realize I am too late. However, I have spent the last decade working on ways to improve Mrs Claus into a modern day woman. My biggest inspiration was Rosie The Riviter, and believe Mrs Claus is an untapped potential as far as goodwill is concerned. If the image was used more efficiently ( Santa is supposed to represent “unlimited giving”, which means his image should be used as such) there would be a lot of extra money for groups that need it the most. I am part of The Santa Cause, and if interested, I would love to explain more ( at the very least, send you my essay on the subject). I am sure you have gotten a lot of stories regarding Mrs Claus, yet I doubt many touch on the fact she is a publicly-owned image that is supposed to represent giving. This is how an updated MRs Claus can have a positive impact on the community.

Are you considering previously published stories for your “Fire” anthology?

  4. Sarah Cannavo says:

Hi, I am interested in submitting to your Fire anthology, and was wondering if there are any formatting requirements you have for the stories submitted to you (double- or single-spaced, page headers or numbers, etc.)?

    Hi Rhonda,
I am interested in submitting a story for the anthology, ‘Grimm, Grit and Gasoline’, and wondered if you had any guidelines as to acceptable levels of dark/violence/profanity, etc.? Thanks!

    • R. Parrish says:

I don’t have any hard and fast guidelines, no. In general, though, I’d say write whatever the story demands and avoid anything gratuitous. One good way to get an idea for the level of darkness/violence and profanity that gets into my World Weaver Press anthologies would be to read one of them. But when in doubt, I usually suggest sending me the story. The worst thing that will happen is I’ll say no thank you.
